Picked Rocky River over Lakewood for a rental and surprise, surprise
Honestly, I was stuck between a 1 bedroom in Lakewood for $1,100 and a similar spot in Rocky River for $1,050 last month. I went with Rocky River because I wanted quieter streets and easier parking for my commute. Turns out the extra 10 minute drive to bars or dinner spots bugs me more than I thought it would. Has anyone else chosen the cheaper or calmer option and regretted the tradeoff?
The quieter streets and easy parking sounded perfect on paper, but the 10 minute drive gets old fast when you just wanna grab a coffee or meet a friend after work. I remember a friend saying the same thing about picking a cheaper spot in Fairview Park, and they moved back to Lakewood within a year. Sometimes that "calm" tradeoff is just a longer drive to everything that actually feels like your neighborhood.
