Lake Road construction changed my whole commute route

I got stuck behind a line of cars for 25 minutes last Tuesday near the Crocker Park entrance because they closed two lanes without any warning signs until you were already in it. Now I leave 15 minutes earlier and take the back roads through Bay Village just to avoid that whole stretch. Has anyone else figured out a better way around this mess or are we all just stuck with it?
