Hit mile marker 150 on the Shoreway jogging path and couldn't believe it

I've been running the Lakewood section of the Shoreway path for about 6 months now (just a mile or two at a time). Yesterday I finally pushed myself to the Rocky River bridge and back, and my watch showed exactly 150 total miles since I started. That's more than I'd done in the whole 5 years before that living in Westlake. Anyone else tracking their miles on this path and surprised when they added them up?

@mark_nguyen95 making a good point about how gradual progress sneaks up on you. I actually read somewhere that our brains are bad at tracking cumulative stuff because we focus on the daily grind instead of the bigger picture. It's wild how 150 miles on that Shoreway path adds up to something real, especially when you think about how many times the trees and the lake change along the way. I've been doing the same stretch from Lakewood to Rocky River and back a few times a week for like two years, but never checked my total until a buddy mentioned his app stats. When I finally looked, it was over 400 miles, and that felt way more impressive than I expected given how normal each run feels.

wait, is that actually how it adds up? i think that's the wildest part about starting any new habit - you don't realize how much you're doing until you look back at the numbers lol. i started walking the towpath near my place last summer and didn't check my app for like 4 months, turned out i had done almost 200 miles without even feeling it. it's funny how our brains don't register gradual progress the same way, like one mile at a time feels like nothing but suddenly you've crossed a whole city worth of ground.
