Finally figured out my hydrangeas after 3 years of dead plants
I was at the Westlake garden center last Saturday and the owner told me I was planting them in too much sun. Swapped them to a shadier spot near my patio and they actually look happy now. Anyone else have a plant that just refused to cooperate until you moved it?

... mine is definitely the lavender I killed three summers in a row before my neighbor finally told me it hates clay soil. I dug it up, mixed in a ton of sand and gravel, and now it's actually flowering instead of just rotting. Guess some plants need a little tough love combined with admitting you had no clue what you were doing.

Betting that lavender survived just to spite all that expensive sand.
