Showerthought: the 1920s brickwork at the old hotel in Galena showed me why we still rod by hand
I was doing a job at a hotel built in 1926 in Galena, and the flue tiles were so crooked from settling that a rotary head just skipped off the joints. Took me 40 minutes with a hand rod and a 6 inch poly brush to clear what a drill would have wrecked in 5. Anyone else run into old river brick that hates power tools?
