Pulled a brush through a flue on Fremont Ave and the cable snapped at the worst spot
I was doing a routine clean on a two story place on Fremont Ave last Thursday when my 3/4 inch cable gave out about 8 feet up. The brush dropped back down and jammed sideways in the smoke shelf, and I could not get it loose from the top. Ended up cutting the rod down in sections and pulling the brush out in pieces over the next hour while the homeowner watched from the porch. Has anyone found a decent quick release fitting, or am I better off just replacing whole rods when this happens?
