A lady at the Kroger deli in Tulsa told me to buy the rotisserie chicken after 7pm
Stood in line behind her Thursday and she said the hot ones hit the clearance sticker right before close, usually $4.99 instead of $7.99. I went back at 7:15 on Saturday and got one for $4.14 with my digital coupon stacked on top. Pulled all the meat off that night, made chicken salad for two lunches and a pot of rice with the carcass. Anybody else got a specific time window that actually works at their store, or is it just random?
Oh man, the bakery at my Harris Teeter marks down those big cookies and muffins around 6:30 and I've definitely planned my whole evening around it before. Still haven't cracked the chicken code though, so maybe I just need to stalk the deli counter like a hawk next time.
