A cashier at the Kroger on Lamar showed me the rotisserie chicken math and it broke my brain
She said the $4.99 bird gets marked down to $2.99 after 8pm and I can pull the meat for 3 days of lunches, which is less than a single deli sandwich at $6.50. Anyone else have a store with a set markdown time worth stalking?
That is a solid find. The Harris Teeter near me marks down their rotisserie birds to $3.49 around 7:30 and I swear the same six people circle the deli counter like sharks every night. Pulled a whole bird last month and got four days of chicken salad out of it, way cheaper than the $9 they want for the pre-made stuff. The bakery bread gets slapped with half-off stickers around the same time so I grab a loaf too. It's nuts how much food you can walk out with for under ten bucks if you know when to show up.
