My $7 movie night idea worked great, but my buddy says it breaks the whole point of cheap dates
Last Friday I wanted to take my girlfriend out but I only had $7 in my wallet, so I made a little snack bag at home and we watched the sunset from the parking deck by the river in Omaha. It was honestly one of our best nights, and I started telling people this is the cheat code for cheap dates. But my buddy says if you plan it out and pack stuff, it's not really a cheap date anymore, it's just a normal date you spent less on, and the whole fun is being spontaneous. I get his point but I also think a $7 night beats a $70 one. Where do you all land on this, does planning it out kill the vibe or is that just being smart?
