Can we talk about how long it took me to find one cat book that wasn't just cute photos?
I wanted a cat coffee table book with actual funny writing, not another 200-page kitten slideshow, and it took me 3 trips to Powell's in Portland and probably 4 hours of flipping through stuff before a clerk pointed me to a weird little 1978 book of cat poems. Does anyone have a rec that's actually funny and not just pretty?

Have you tried looking in the humor section instead of the pets section? That was my mistake for way too long, I kept hitting the same wall of glossy photo books. The comedy aisle at used shops is where the good stuff hides, like that cat poems find you got. Also check out "The Cat's Revenge" or anything by Jim Davis if you want actual jokes with the cats. Powell's employees are lowkey the best search engine for this stuff, just tell them you want funny not cute.
