My vet's advice about the spray bottle was dead wrong, here's what happened
My vet back in Tulsa told me to squirt my cat Milo whenever he jumped on the kitchen counters. Three weeks of that and he just started hiding under the couch every time I walked in with a glass of water. He wasn't learning anything except to be scared of me. I switched to putting double sided tape on the counter edges for a month and giving him a treat when he used his cat tree instead. He stopped counter surfing completely and actually comes up to me for pets again. Has anyone else had a trainer or vet give advice that backfired like that?
