My cat was terrified of the litter robot for a month, then something clicked. I got a Litter-Robot 4 back in March because I was tired of scooping twice a day for my two cats. My older cat, Mochi, would not go near it for the first 3 weeks. She peed on the bath mat twice and stared at the machine like it was a monster. I was honestly about to return it and go back to the regular box. Then one morning I caught her watching the cleaning cycle from across the room, ears perked, not flattened. She slowly walked up, sniffed the opening, and just hopped in like she'd been using it forever. It took her exactly 29 days to accept it, and I think what did it was seeing my younger cat use it without anything bad happening. Has anyone else had a cat that took a full month or more to accept a new litter box setup? What finally got them to switch?
