Wasted $25 on packing cubes that didn't fit my bag
I bought a set of those cheap nylon packing cubes from a random website last month, trying to organize my carry-on for a trip to Denver... They were labeled as "standard size" but when I tried to zip them into my backpack, they stuck out and I had to leave one behind at the hotel. Has anyone else had a set of cubes that just didn't match the dimensions of your bag?

My buddy Steve bought a set of those same cheap cubes off some Instagram ad for like 20 bucks. He was all excited to pack for a trip to Chicago to see his family. Well, they were supposed to fit a standard carry-on but when he tried to put them in his duffel bag, they bulged out like a squeezed toothpaste tube. He ended up having to repack everything on his hotel bathroom floor the first night, which honestly is the worst. The fabric ripped on one of them too, just from the zipper catching, so he tossed the whole set in the trash before he even flew home. I'd say measure your bag first, or just go with a solid brand, because those random ones are a gamble.

Did you check the bag dimensions before buying them? I learned that the hard way too.
