I finally tried vacuum bags for my puffy jacket and it saved me 3 inches
Kept going over the 22x14x9 limit on weekend trips to Denver until I rolled the jacket tight and sucked the air out with a ziploc and straw. Anyone got a better way to kill bulk on fleece without wrecking the loft?

Sounds like you invented the poor man's compression sack and honestly it worked. Those fancy travel bags cost 30 bucks and do the same thing your straw did for free. Just dont leave the jacket stuffed like that for weeks or the loft turns into a sad pancake.
