Rant: A client in Phoenix insisted I lay carpet over a damp concrete slab
He said, 'It'll dry out fine, just get it done.' I walked off the job. That moisture would have ruined the pad and caused mold in a month. Has anyone else had to deal with a client pushing you to cut a corner that bad?

People forget how fast mold spores travel in the air, @jade240. A damp towel left bunched up on the floor creates a perfect warm, wet spot for them to grow. I've seen small spots start in under 48 hours in a humid bathroom.

Wait, only 48 hours? That's actually terrifying. I always thought it took like a week for mold to show up. My bathroom gets super steamy and now I'm side-eyeing every towel on the floor. Gonna start hanging them up properly, that's way too fast for comfort.
