Just learned about the actual weight of a sheet of 3/4 inch MDF
I was loading a truck yesterday and my back was screaming. Grabbed a scale from the shop and weighed a 4x8 sheet. It was 96 pounds. I always guessed around 70. Found the spec sheet online from the supplier and it confirmed it. Anyone else have a go-to trick for moving those heavy sheets solo?

Honestly, that lever method sounds like a good way to throw your back out worse. Just get a panel carrier, the kind with the handles. Lets you walk it upright without all the awkward tipping. How do you even control a big sheet once it's up on edge like that?

That weight is no joke, it sneaks up on you. It's like how a gallon of paint feels way heavier at the end of the day than at the start. My trick is using a long scrap of 2x4 as a lever to tip the sheet up onto its long edge first, then walk it forward. What's your method for getting it off the truck?
