I finally debated my old foreman over miter saw stands vs job site tables and he still won't talk to me after 3 years

He told me his homemade plywood table was better than any store bought stand because it didn't wobble on a sloped driveway in Austin, but I argued back that the portability of a folding stand saved my back by lunch, so which side do you lean on for rough framing jobs?

Hauling a 4x8 sheet in Austin heat is its own kind of torture.

Man, three years over a saw stand argument? That's a lot of silence over some metal legs and plywood. I get it, sloped driveways suck for table wobble, but if your foreman can't let that go maybe he just needed an excuse to stop talking. Folding stands do save the back though. I'd rather have a twitchy cut than throw my spine out hauling a 4x8 sheet of plywood around. Sounds like the real problem ain't the stand, it's him holding a grudge like it's a second job.
