The client who told me my reports were too clean
I work in IT project management in Austin. A client last year kept saying my status reports were too clean, that I was just checking boxes. I thought they wanted detail, so I made them longer. She finally said, 'I dont want more info, I want the risks you are hiding.' That hit me hard. I started putting worst case scenarios and money figures in every update, even if it looked bad. Has anyone else had a boss or client call out a report style you thought was working fine?
