My portfolio was a mess until I used a skills matrix
I spent 6 months applying to jobs with a resume that just listed tasks, got nothing. A recruiter in Charlotte told me to map every project to a hard skill with a number, like 'reduced load time 40%'. That single google sheet changed how I talk about my work and I got 3 callbacks in 2 weeks. Has anyone else tried this approach or do you use something else?

Wait, is this even about the matrix or just learning how to show results? Like, 40% load time is the part that matters, not the google sheet. I think most people just forget to put numbers on their projects, so yeah, that trick works. But also, if you're listing stuff you actually did, that should be enough, right?
