A driver at the Flying J in Amarillo told me cars move on a credit card now, not a handshake
She was 19 and had never paid cash for a haul, and I just sat there thinking about how my uncle used to settle up at a diner counter with a roll of bills and a CB radio to get a car from Dallas to Lubbock, so I'm curious, does anyone actually miss that or is the instant payment the whole reason most people do this now?
