Rant: a customer's 1972 Minolta sat on my bench for 3 months and she picked it up yesterday without a word
She dropped it off in January with a stuck meter and paid half up front. I rebuilt the meter, cleaned the finder, replaced the foam. She walked in on a random Tuesday, handed me the balance in cash, and just said 'looks good' and left. Not a thank you, not a question about the meter. Three months of nagging her by phone for the go ahead. So now I'm sitting here wondering if I should start charging a bench fee for gear that goes quiet. How do you all handle customers who go dark halfway through a job?
