I blew $80 on that magnetic cable sleeve system and it made things worse

Back in 2021 I got suckered into one of those magnetic cable management kits, the ones with the little clips and the zip-up sleeve, and it cost me right around $80. The magnets were too weak so everything slid down behind my desk, and the sleeve just turned six cords into one thick snake I couldn't separate when I needed to swap something. My old setup was literally just twist ties and a $3 pack of velcro from the hardware store in Kent, and honestly it looked better. Did anyone else buy into one of these all-in-one kits and regret it, or am I the only one who fell for the ads?
