Warning: pine sap gummed up my dado stack on a job in Bend
Three days ago I was cutting rabbets in some salvage pine for a client's bookshelf and the sap built up so fast it started burning the wood instead of cutting it. Had to pull the stack apart twice and soak it in mineral spirits, but a guy at the lumber yard said he keeps a can of Goo Gone and a brass brush next to his saw for exactly this. Any of you run into sap heavy stock, and what do you keep on hand to deal with it?
