My mentor's 30 second take on drawer slides changed how I build everything
Old guy I apprenticed under in Portland watched me struggle with soft-close slides for an hour, then just said 'stop fighting the hardware, let the box tell you where it wants to go.' I redid the cabinet with 3/4 inch spacing instead of the spec sheet's 1/2 and it's been butter smooth ever since, anyone else found that manufacturers' numbers need adjusting for real plywood?
