Cleaned out my old job box and found a stack of cut lists from my first year.

I counted them and it was exactly 27, which is how many kitchens I built back in 2004. It hit me that I've probably drawn over a thousand since then, all by hand back then. Do you still keep any of your old paper plans, or is it all digital now?

Man, that takes me back. I found a box of my old hand-drawn house plans when we moved last fall. All that smudged pencil and coffee-stained vellum, you know? I just sat on the floor and flipped through them for an hour. It's wild to think how much time went into each one, and now it's all just a few clicks.

Yeah, that hits different, @lindagreen. You can feel the work in those old drawings, something the digital stuff just doesn't have. Kinda sad how much craft got lost for speed.

My buddy Mike found his dad's old drafting table in the attic last year, still had a half-finished blueprint pinned to it from like 1987. He said it felt like finding a ghost.
