Bought a $30 bone saw from a flea market, called it junk, now it's my backup

Picked up this rusty bone saw for $30 at a flea market in Denver last month, figured it was trash for the price. Used it on a pork shoulder yesterday because my main saw was in the shop, and it cut through clean as anything. Anyone else had luck with cheap flea market tools over brand new ones?

My track record with flea market tools is basically me buying garbage and then acting shocked when it works. I once bought a hand plane for five bucks that looked like it got left out in the rain since 1987 and it still shaves wood better than the new one I paid forty for. There is something about old tools where the metal was just made thicker and the guy who owned it before actually knew how to sharpen stuff. My wife says I have a problem and that our garage is becoming a museum of rusty things, but then she borrowed my ten dollar flea market pruning shears and now she gets it. Sometimes you just get lucky and the junk turns out to be the good stuff.
