Spent 3 weeks getting a static IP sorted for my Dayton print shop
Honestly, I just needed a static IP so our card terminal and remote desktop would stop timing out, figured it would be a 2 day thing. Turns out the provider had us on a shared range and the rep kept transferring me to different departments, and one tech actually told me 'we don't really do static for accounts under 3 lines.' It took 19 days and 6 phone calls before a supervisor finally flipped it on, and they still charged us a $75 setup fee. Anyone else run into this where the sales guy promises static IPs up front but the tech side acts like you're asking for a favor?
