Showerthought: I write down my grocery list in a bullet journal now and found out I was tossing $60 of food a month
I always kept my shopping list on a random envelope, but I started a running grocery log in my journal about 3 months ago. Writing down what I actually bought and crossing off what went bad showed me I was throwing out around $60 of food every month, mostly greens and leftovers I forgot about. The big surprise was seeing it on paper, because in my head I thought we ate everything. Now I plan meals around what's already in the fridge before I add anything new. Has anyone else used their journal to track food waste like this, and did it actually stick for you?
