Warning: I almost got got by the "buy 2 get 1" meat deal at Costco in Boise
I used to grab the 3 pack of chicken thighs at Costco in Boise cause it felt like free food, but I finally sat down and did the math on the per pound price versus just buying the single 6 pound pack. The 3 pack rang up at $2.79 a pound while the single pack was $2.19, so I was basically paying 60 cents a pound extra just for the privilege of bagging stuff I might not eat in time. Has anyone else actually checked the unit price on those bulk deals or am I the only one who got lazy about it?
