Stopped buying coffee on my way to work last month and put that $42 in a separate jar

When I counted it all up after 30 days at my shop in Dayton, I realized that was enough to cover my entire dog shampoo restock for the next two months - has anyone else found a small daily habit that adds up way faster than you'd think?

Started doing the math on my daily energy drink habit and holy cow, it was way worse than I thought. $4.50 a day adds up to like $135 a month just for something I could get for free at the shop in our break room. If the coffee jar trick worked for you, did you struggle more with actually remembering to put the money in the jar or with resisting the urge to grab a cup when you're running late?
