Shoutout to my local library's free museum pass program

Last Saturday, I took my kids to the science museum downtown using a pass I got from the library. We would have spent $75 on tickets, but the pass covered all four of us for free. It made for a really fun day out without touching our weekend budget. Has anyone else found a good free or cheap activity in their town?

Our library system in Riverside County has those passes too, they're a total lifesaver. I've noticed more towns are quietly funding these little perks through local taxes, stuff like free community garden plots or tool lending libraries. It feels like a small pushback against everything having a subscription fee now.

Wait, libraries just give away museum tickets for free?

Whoa, wait. Tool lending libraries? That's actually a thing? I had no idea libraries were getting that wild with it.
