Seeing more friends split grocery bills for big meals
It's cool how sharing food costs makes hanging out cheaper and less stressful. Last weekend, we all chipped in for a big cookout instead of going out, and no one felt tight on cash.

Venmo or a shared spreadsheet works great for tracking who paid for what. We usually have one person buy all the groceries, then everyone sends them their share right away. It helps to split the list, like someone gets the meat and another grabs drinks and sides. Makes it feel more like a team effort.

Your system sounds good on paper, @thomas_butler14... but last time we tried that, Dave still owes me for the burgers from July. Spreadsheets just give him more ways to avoid paying up. Like when he claimed the soda was on sale so his share should be less... total chaos.
