I finally tracked every dollar for a month with just a notebook and a purple pen
I was losing track of where my money went after every paycheck, so I grabbed a $1.50 spiral notebook from the drugstore and wrote down every single purchase for 30 days. Turns out I was spending $67 a month on coffee runs I did not even think about, plus $40 on app subscriptions I forgot I signed up for. Seeing it written out by hand hit different than staring at a banking app. Now I want to hear how other folks split their cash into envelopes, does anyone use actual paper ones still?
