I fell for the meal prep container hype and wasted $80
Bought a set of glass meal prep containers from a trendy brand last January thinking they'd save me money by helping me plan meals. Turns out the lids cracked after 3 weeks and the glass started chipping at the corners by month two. I spent $80 on 12 containers that I barely used because they leaked in my bag every time. Now I just use old salsa jars and reused takeout containers for free. Has anyone else had better luck with a specific brand that actually lasts more than a month?

Yeah I used to be all about those fancy glass containers too, thought they were the secret to being an organized adult. But after three sets of lids cracking and discovering my coworker's leftover Chinese takeout lids fit perfectly on my old Pyrex bowls I gave up. Now I'm team old salsa jar all the way, cheaper and honestly more durable than anything I've bought from a store.

You ever notice how everything marketed as "adulting" just ends up being a trap? Same thing happened to me with those expensive drawer organizers that were supposed to make my life simple, but regular cardboard boxes work twice as good. Feels like the whole system is designed to make us think we need special gear just to eat leftovers or keep socks sorted.
