DAE check the unit price tag on the bottom shelf? because my grocery bill went from $210 to $130 in 8 weeks
I used to grab the same stuff every trip without really looking at the price per ounce. Two months ago I started flipping the shelf tags over to read the small numbers on the bottom, and the gap was nuts. Same brand of oats, one bag was 11 cents an ounce and the bigger box was 19 cents. I swapped six items that first trip at the Kroger on 4th and my total fell by about $40. By week 8 I was down to $130 a trip for the same meals. The catch is you have to do the math in the aisle, the big box is not always cheaper. Anyone else do the per ounce thing or am I late to this?
