My trick for cheap airport parking in Chicago

I was flying out of O'Hare and the official lots were $40 a day. I checked a site called SpotHero and found a hotel near the blue line train that let me park for $8 a day if I booked a week ahead. I took their free shuttle to the airport train stop and was at my terminal in 25 minutes. Has anyone else found a good off-site parking deal in a different city?

Holy cow, $40 a day? That's straight up robbery. I paid that once in Denver and it felt like getting mugged with a receipt. I've used that SpotHero app in a few places now, it's a lifesaver. Found a garage in Boston for ten bucks a day when the airport wanted thirty-five. Never paying airport prices again.

My buddy got hit with a $50 daily fee in Chicago, he was so mad he almost parked on the sidewalk.

But airport parking has to cost more, they have way higher overhead to cover. You're paying for the security and convenience of being right there. Sometimes the extra cost is worth not dealing with a shuttle or a long walk with your bags.
