My brilliant plan to sleep in airport lounges went totally sideways
I figured I could save on a hotel by crashing in an airport lounge overnight. I bought a cheap day pass and planned to stay past closing. When staff started locking up, I pretended to be deeply asleep in a corner chair. A security guard shook me awake and asked for my boarding pass, which I didn't have for that day. He escorted me out, but not before I tripped over my own backpack in front of everyone. I ended up spending more on a last minute motel than a planned hotel would have cost. The whole thing was a dumb attempt to cheat the system that just made me look like a fool.
Honestly that whole plan was doomed from the start. Lounges check for same day boarding passes like every hour. Trying to fake sleep just makes you the main character in a security training video. Tbh the universe charged you the idiot tax with that motel bill. We've all had a cheap idea blow up in our face though.
