Military airbnb hack I was super skeptical about actually saved me 40 bucks a night
My buddy kept telling me to book through that site that rents rooms on military bases to civilians. I thought no way that's a real thing or it's gonna be super sketchy. Tried it for a trip to San Diego last spring and got a legit room at the Navy Lodge on Coronado for like 65 bucks a night. The check in process was normal and the room was clean. Has anyone else actually used those base lodging deals or did I just get lucky?

Hold on, you actually did it? I used to think those military lodging deals were just for veterans or something, not regular people like us. But I ended up in a similar spot last year when I was visiting my sister near Jacksonville and found a room at a base inn for way less than any hotel. It was honestly the same experience, clean sheets, normal check in, no hassle at all. I'm a total convert now, it's almost stupid not to check those deals first when you're near a base, right?
