Stopped reading 5-star reviews first, my win rate on brokers jumped fast

I used to start with the top rated brokers on here and kept getting burned, so for the last 3 months I only read 1 and 2 star reviews and filter for repeated complaints about withdrawal delays. Has anyone else tried mining the angry reviews for patterns instead of trusting the glowing ones?

Wait, have you tried sorting those 1-star reviews by date too? Because I noticed that a lot of brokers will have a bad patch, fix it, then the old angry reviews stay up forever. So I started only looking at negative reviews from the last 60 days, and that changed my hit rate even more. The old complaints about slow withdrawals often get solved, but the recent ones show what's actually broken right now. That plus checking if the same complaint shows up word-for-word across multiple accounts, since fake angry reviews tend to repeat the same phrasing while real ones have messy typos and weird details. It's a whole extra layer of digging, but honestly it's been worth it, I've dodged three big ones that still have 4.5 stars on here.
