Noticed my spreads kept getting worse for months before figuring out the problem

I was blindly trusting the broker's average execution stats until I compared their fill data against a direct market feed for 30 days and saw they were reporting their best-case times, not my actual fills, so has anyone else caught a broker cherry picking their own performance numbers?

Wait, they actually cherry picked their own performance data like that? That's wild, I would've never thought to check if they were only showing the best times.

Ended up running my own latency log for two weeks using a free time-stamp tool and found my fills were 40 milliseconds slower on average than what the broker claimed. Once I called them out with that data, they quietly updated their reported numbers within a week. Did you ever try asking for a full execution log from their compliance team?
