Why I ditched the level for a string line on long runs
Did a 40 foot retaining wall last month over in Hudson and kept chasing my level bubble every course. Swapped to a tight string line set off the corners and my joints lined up way better, plus it cut my setup time maybe 30 percent. I know levels are the standard, but on anything over 20 feet the string never lies. Anyone else use string over a level for long walls or am I overthinking it?
