Watched a 40 year old wall in Toledo go from cracked mess to solid in 3 weeks
A homeowner on Bancroft Street had a brick wall that was spalling bad, mortar falling out everywhere, looked like it was ready to give up. We repointed the whole thing over 3 weekends, and just swapping out that old hard mortar for a soft lime mix let the bricks breathe again. The before and after is night and day, it looks brand new but still old if that makes sense. Anybody else seeing more people finally get that hard mortar is the problem, not the brick?
