Everyone blames the window glass when a shop display looks flat, but I think it's the 2pm sun angle
I keep seeing folks in this group pin a bad window on bad glass, but last week I stood outside Book Soup in Los Angeles at 2pm and the glare washed out half the display. The shop across the street looked crisp at the exact same hour, and the only difference was an awning cutting the light at 45 degrees. So here's my two sides: maybe it's cheap glass making everything look gray, or maybe it's where the sun lands and nobody bothers checking. I went back at 6pm and both windows looked totally fine, which tells me timing is the real thing here. Have you all checked a display at two different hours before blaming the shop?
