Shoutout to the 3 books I finally gave up on this month after holding onto them for a decade
So I finally did something I should have done a long time ago. I went through my bookshelf and pulled out 3 books I have been dragging around since college. One of them I literally moved to 4 different apartments over 10 years. I started it maybe 5 times and never got past page 60. I always felt guilty quitting because people say it's a classic. But here's the thing, I read 41 books in 2023 and not one of them was a book I actually wanted to read. This month I finally tossed those 3 in a donation box and it felt amazing. My bookshelf has actual space now and I picked up a thriller that I finished in 2 days. Anyone else have that one book they keep pretending they will finish someday?
