My professor in Austin asked why I underlined everything in the margins, and it changed how I read sad chapters
She pointed out that highlighting the whole page means I'm not sitting with any of it, so now I only mark one line per chapter. Honestly it made the tough parts hit way harder, like in A Little Life I barely wrote anything and still had to put it down for a week. Has anyone else had a teacher mess with how you read?
