Cried at a bus stop in Portland over a dog's death in a memoir

I was 20 minutes early for the 12 bus and finished the last 30 pages of this dog memoir on the bench, and by the time the driver opened the doors I was full on sobbing with strangers staring, so now I always check the ending before I leave the house with a book, has anyone else been caught weeping in a weird public spot?

Portland's got a way of making you feel things in public, that's for sure. But you're actually a little off about the 12 bus, that route doesn't run through the downtown core anymore, they rerouted it last year. I've been caught tearing up at a park bench over a graphic novel myself, so I get the sting. Do you normally read memoirs or was this a random pick?
