Question about hitting 200 books in my little library and why I think a big shelf is overrated
I counted my paperbacks on a boring Sunday night in my apartment near Akron and got 200 exactly, which stopped me cold because I thought I was around 120. I track every buy in a notebook with the date and price, and adding up all of them came to $712 over about 3 years, mostly thrift store stuff at 2 or 3 bucks a pop. Everyone keeps telling me to get a tall bookcase, but I think that just fills up with junk you never touch, so I keep mine in two plastic bins and a few stacked on the floor. Has anyone else hit a number like that and felt weird about it, or am I the only one who wishes they had stopped buying at 100?
