I used to think used book sales at the library were just junk, then I saw what $5 got me in Reno
For about two years I skipped the quarterly sale at the library branch on Sierra Street because the last one I went to was all water damaged paperbacks and old tax guides. Last Saturday I finally went back because my youngest needed a stack of easy readers, and the difference was night and day, they had a whole table of hardcovers at 50 cents each with tight spines and no markings, plus a sign saying they pulled 400 donated boxes since spring. Has anyone else noticed certain branches getting way better donations lately, or did I just hit the right Saturday?
