Shoutout to the woman in Savannah who saved our club from a total blowup
Last month our book club picked a 600 page novel and I was the one pushing hard to cut it from the list, saying it was too long for most of us. Then a member named Dana stood up at the meeting in Savannah and read two paragraphs out loud, and within 10 minutes I flipped completely. Turns out the book was way better than I thought, and we ended up talking about it for over an hour. Has anyone else had a book get saved by just hearing it read out loud?
