Just realized the old boiler at the Rockport mill is still running

I was driving past the site yesterday and saw steam coming from the stack. That thing has to be pushing 40 years old now. What's the oldest piece of kit you've seen still on the job?

Remember the old desktop computer my dad used for his taxes... the one with the green screen and the floppy drive that sounded like a jet engine. He kept that thing running until about 2010. I swear he only replaced it because the new tax software came on a CD.

Wasn't that the best kind of stubbornness? My uncle did the same thing with an old beige box that only ran DOS. He'd print his tax forms on that dot matrix printer that woke up the whole house. @lindagreen, it's funny how a simple CD could finally force an upgrade after all those years. Those machines were built like tanks, even if they did sound like a small plane taking off in the study.
